At Arkja Cottages, adventure begins right outside your cottage. Surrounded by forest, peaceful valleys, and stunning Himalayan views, this trekking and walking trails offer something for everyone -whether you're looking for a calm nature walk or an exciting hillside climb.

Trek to Bhadraj Temple

From Matogi, the trek is about 4 km to 6 km one way, passing through terraced fields, oak and deodar forests, and open meadows with sweeping mountain views. As you ascend to the hilltop at around 2,200 meters, the panorama expands to reveal the Doon Valley to the south and snow peaks like Bandarpoonch and Swargarohini to the north. 

The Bhadraj Temple, dedicated to Lord Balarama, can be reached via a scenic trek starting from the quaint Himalayan village of Matogi, located near Mussoorie.

Trek to Nagdevta Temple

Situated at the base of a mountain peak, this sacred temple is a serene spot often visited by trekkers and nature lovers.

Just a short walk from the resort, it is surrounded by lush meadows and dense forests, offering breathtaking Himalayan views. As you soak in the divine blessings of Nag Devta, enjoy the tranquil sight of the Yamuna River flowing gracefully nearby—an experience that blends spirituality with natural beauty.

Trek to Waterfall

A 3km walk from Arkja Resort takes you to a beautiful natural waterfall. Here, you can step under the fresh, cool water and enjoy a refreshing waterfall bath. Surrounded by green hills and the sound of flowing water, it’s the perfect place to relax, recharge, and feel close to nature.

A simple yet unforgettable experience of the Himalayas at their purest. Whether you wish to capture stunning photographs or relax by the soothing cascade, this nearby waterfall adds a touch of magic to your stay with us. In summer and the monsoon, it dances with full energy, while in winter, it flows gently and feels breezy.
